About Willie Myette
Willie has toured both the U.S. and Europe as clinician and performer. He is a graduate of the well renowned Berklee College of Music.
He has studied in New York with Fred Hersch and in Boston with Ray Santisi. Willie has produced three recordings as bandleader and his music has been featured radio stations nationwide.
In 1996, Willie created the wildly successful program, JazzKids®. Designed to teach children as young as six-years-old how to play Jazz and improvise, JazzKids has been used by thousands of teachers worldwide.
Willie is also the founder of JazzPianoLessons.com, an online teaching website that makes it easy to learn Jazz piano, Blues, Gospel Piano and more online.
JazzPianoLessons.com has an active student base from every continent and continues to grow daily by giving students the option of learning Willie’s easy, step-by-step method online through a membership or via DVD.
In 2008, Willie also formed FunkPianoLessons.com, another online piano lesson site design to teach students funk piano and contemporary grooves, “phat” chords and more.
Willie has performed/shared the stage with members of James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, 420 Funk Mob, The Dixie Chicks and many other incredible musicians that he feels blessed to have worked with!

Hi Willie,
I have been playing gospel piano/keyboard by ear for about 15 years. I am now interested in learning the theory and technique behind what I already do, and anxious to learn what I don’t know. I plan to enroll in Berkelee’s online Keyboard skills certificate program seen here:

After checking out your sites, I see that you have a wealth of knowledge to give also. I could see using your site as a supplement to what I will be learning at Berklee Online. I don’t know if you are familiar with this certificate program, but do think this would be a good mix?
My goal is to become more proficient overall as it pertains to piano, and my focus is to learn jazz as it relates to gospel. Also, do you have any technique courses included in the GospelJazz curriculum ie. Hanon?
