Gospel piano & Black gospel made easy with my piano method...
If you're like me, you probably have stacks of music books and videos. You may even have a folder of Internet piano links. Let's face it...there is an abundance of piano playing resources out there, but many of them stop short of really changing your playing.
There are many reasons for this. Sometimes the teacher might be boring or not engaging. Or, maybe the teacher is "talking over your head". Even worse, maybe they don't really know how to teach...but they still teach anyway.
Time is short and you need to learn the right way...the first time around.
The Gospel piano lessons that I have laid out here have been created and honed through years of practice and performance. I'm going to teach you the concepts that you want to learn, but I'm going to do it in an engaging and streamlined manner.
It won't take you years before you start to notice changes in your playing. My approach to teaching is simple: teach in a way that does teach over the student's head while also showing them techniques that they can quickly apply to other songs.
I'm going to teach you concepts that you'll be able to apply to all types of styles and songs...while also improving your ear for music and theory.
Your piano playing will drastically improve using my three-step program.
I've written over two dozen books on music and recorded over 40 DVDs, not to mention all of the performing and touring. I don't mention this to brag, but to explain that through it all, I've learned that students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
You're going to stay engaged and have fun learning my method because I'll show you how to apply my method to real songs...right now. You're going to learn by doing.
I've broken this process down into three separate sections:
Step One: Arrange The Song. In this step, I'll start by arranging a song from a lead sheet using the re-harmonization techniques that I've learned through years of performing and teaching. However, rather than sifting through theory books, I'm going to teach you techniques that easy to apply immediately...and sound cool!
Step Two: Learn The Arrangement: I will break down the arrangement into small sections making it easy to quickly learn how to play the piano arrangement. Music readers, you'll be glad to know that you can download the sheet music for the arrangement. Don't read music? No problem. I break the arrangement down so even students with only a few weeks experience will be able to play what I played.
Step Three: Improvisation & Fills. This is where I'll show you those licks, fills and runs that you are itching to learn. I honestly wish this resource was available years ago! In this section you'll learn a bunch of "piano tricks" that will turn heads. Oh yeah, don't be surprised if other musicians start asking you to show them the stuff you've learned. I don't believe in selling garbage, so believe me when I tell you that you'll be impressed.
